QCFs are nationally recognized qualifications that reflect how well you do your job and how much you know about your job role. Completing a QCF/ NVQ shows your employer that you understand your role and you’ll be helped by First Kare Academy to prove this.
Our staff will also make regular visits to you at work to guide you through the qualification.
The main part of completing a QCF/ NVQ involves collecting evidence of your everyday tasks and completing a series of units. Some units are essential, others are optional, but all of them count towards your portfolio, which can be completed, on paper or online.
In many cases, QCF/ NVQs can be completed using ePortfolios. This is an online system that allows you to communicate with your Manager and First Kare Academy using the internet.
With a portfolio, you gain your qualification by following an online training plan and creating an electronic portfolio.
These are essential skills that you use in everyday life as well as in the workplace. There are three Functional Skills, these are Maths, English and, Information Technology. You’ll probably have already come across these skills at school.
These are aimed at developing your skills and knowledge in the technical aspects of the job you do. The focus of Technical Certificates is job theory and qualified First Kare Academy staff usually away from the workplace teaches it.
End Point Assessment
A new development in apprenticeships standards is an independent assessment at the end of your programme. These take a number of different forms, including professional discussions, projects, assignments, and tests. First Kare Academy will inform you of any assessment that is required.
These are usually away from the workplace.
